Free Smartphone Yojana: Center will give free smartphone. 1 crore people of the country will get free smartphone by applying online at home. Aadhaar card number, bank account number is only available for this benefit. If you are 18 years old, you will get the benefits of this scheme, i.e. you will get a free smartphone under this scheme. Such a claim is being made in the video thumbnail of a YouTube channel. Recently, the press information bureau of the central government has informed that this claim is completely false (Fact Check). By showing the name of the channel and the thumbnail of the video on the X handle, PIB warned the common people that there is no such scheme in the government, the thumbnail of the video is spreading lies.
According to the Press Information Bureau, a video by a YouTube channel called ‘Sarkari Souchna’ claims that the central government will provide free mobile phones to 1 crore people. It is also named Free Smartphone Yojana. The video of this YouTube channel says that the families whose financial condition is not good, the family members who are below the poverty line will be given free mobile phones through this scheme. But why will this free smartphone be given? With the help of this smartphone, all the important messages of the government are disseminated to all the citizens, this scheme has been launched for this purpose. This scheme has been launched under Digital India and aims to make all citizens self-reliant.
The video also mentions that there is no need to queue anywhere to enroll in this scheme. If selected by filling the form through this scheme, subsidy will be given to buy mobile from the central government. It is even claimed that 2 million people have already been given mobiles. Aadhaar card, PAN card, mobile number and bank account number can be applied for this scheme. Not only free mobile, but also 3 years of data, unlimited calling will be given for free, it is also claimed in this video. Besides, it has been directed to go to the Rajasthan government website to avail the benefits of this scheme. PIB has made it clear that this claim is completely false. The government has not started any such scheme.
