On behalf of Pakistan, an annual resolution was presented in the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) a few days ago. This resolution was accepted without voting. Some foreign media, especially Pakistani media, had presented it by linking it to Kashmir.
The Indian Foreign Ministry has issued a clarification regarding this. According to ANI, the Ministry of External Affairs says that the resolution will not have any impact. There is no mention of Jammu and Kashmir in this.
Sources associated with the Ministry of External Affairs told ANI- We have seen misleading foreign media reports about the UNGA resolution. This is an annual proposal presented by Pakistan to the Third Committee. It was accepted without voting. There is no mention of Jammu and Kashmir in this proposal.
