You’re doing some last minute video game shopping for the holidays, surprisingly you’re not too late. There are plenty of deals on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch video games that can still be delivered to you before December 25th. Many (but not all) of these deals are actually as good as what we saw on Black Friday and Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Super Mario RPG is a remake of the 1996 SNES classic. It was one of the best games to grace the console amidst a sea of other incredible titles, and Nintendo did a great job of staying true to the game’s charm and fun factor. Many improvements have been implemented to bring the game up to modern day standards, including updated visuals, music, gameplay mechanics and several small but welcome UI improvements. In our Super Mario RPG review, Tom Marks wrote that “Super Mario RPG is considered a classic for a reason, and this faithful remake makes it easy to see why for those who missed it during the SNES era.”

Pikmin 4 for Nintendo Switch is the latest and arguably the best of the Pikmin franchise. Pikmin 4 is incredible, and Pikmin 3 is a complete realization of where the Pikmin franchise started to go. It has tons of content, is highly engaging and overall a blast to play. In our Pikmin 4 review, Jada Griffin wrote that “Pikmin 4 adds variety to the series’ traditional gameplay by offering alternatives to the grab-and-throw formula of the past, and brings extra help with top-level levels after the credits roll.”

Super Mario Odyssey is still one of the best games available on the Nintendo Switch. From stunning realms to numerous new gameplay elements, this is a title that should be in any Switch owner’s collection. Odyssey is best known for its capture mechanic, which allows Mario to use cappy and grab various enemies and objects in the environment. In our Super Mario Odyssey 10/10 review, Ryan McCaffrey wrote that “Super Mario Odyssey is a fantastic adventure and a love letter to the series that made Nintendo a household name.”

Do you want to exercise but don’t enjoy exercise? Ring Fit Adventure is one way to overcome this obstacle. Ring Fit incorporates a huge variety of excellent workout exercises in the guise of an RPG game. An epic adventure awaits you slaying monsters and dragons, tackling new levels, traversing different environments, gaining powerups and skills, all the while toning your abs and burning calories. In our Ring Fit Adventure review, Jonathan Dorbusch wrote that “Ring Fit Adventure is a marathon, not a sprint, like adapting a healthy lifestyle should be. The past few weeks haven’t changed my life or made me look like The Rock. It’s a sudden, but fun way to get into a pattern of healthy living. As a way of (or in my case getting back to), it’s a solid push in the right direction.”

Star Wars: Outlaws was released just three months ago and it’s already 33% off on Black Friday. Maybe Ubisoft is trying to boost sales after a lackluster launch, but this means you can enjoy a AAA title at a great discount. IGN’s Tristan Ogilvie gave it a 7/10 review, which is still good, but I beat the game and enjoyed it immensely, so I’d give it an 8. It definitely has an “Assassin’s Creed game in a Star Wars skin” vibe, and there’s no mistaking it.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is the latest game from Persona 3, 4, and 5 director Katsura Hashino and the team at Atlus’ Studio Zero. For the first time since launch, you can score the game at a discount this Black Friday, saving $20. In our 9/10 review, Michael Higham wrote that “Atlas refines the RPG formula by turning difficult turn-based combat into compelling social sim mechanics, Metaphor: Refantazio not only sends a strong message in its political drama, it becomes a beautiful. genuine story-telling.” Expressions of influence can have on all of us.”

Sonic X Shadow Generations is easily one of the best Sonic games in recent history.
