Materials for making Srikhand
- 1 kg fresh cold yogurt (not too sour)
- Powdered sugar to taste
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2 teaspoon black cardamom powder
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron
- 2 teaspoons of Samarial almonds, pistachios and cashews
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Method of making Shrikhand
To make Srikhand, first strain the curd well in a muslin cloth or cheesecloth to remove excess water from the curd and thicken the curd. Now put this curd in a bowl and mix it well with powdered sugar. If the curd becomes too thick, add milk to thin the mixture. Now add cardamom powder and roasted saffron for taste and color.
Shrikhand will become like cream
You can also add taj to it if you want. Now mix well. You can also add cream to it if you want. Due to which Srikhand will become like cream. Now after mixing it well, cover it in a container and keep it in the fridge to cool for at least 2 to 3 hours. After that add finely chopped dry fruits like cashews, betel nuts and pistachios.
