The inmates of the Presidency Jail will play sanai at the opening ceremony of the fair. Today i.e. Sunday 22 December the opening ceremony of the fair will be held. The event was organized at Santiniketan House. Before that, Vaitalik will be held at nine o’clock. The complete schedule of the fair has been shared by the fair committee. The fair is being organized for 6 days
Incidentally, this year the authorities have organized the fair for 6 days. The opening ceremony of the fair will be held on the night of December 22, but the fair will begin at 7 p.m. in the morning. 7 Poush i.e. 23 December morning after Vaitalik is held, the fair will start. The schedule says there are various programs from 7 to 10 p.m. However, the program can be changed if necessary, said the fair authorities.
There is no Bangladeshi stall
Bangladeshi stall will not be present at this fair. It has been informed by the fair authority, this time Nepal-Bhutan stall is also missing in the fair premises. It has been reported that no stall has come from Bangladesh this year due to the turbulent situation in Bangladesh. Santiniketan Trust Secretary Anil Konar told the media that no stalls came from Bangladesh as well as Nepal and Bhutan. As a result, this Poushmela cannot be called an international Poushmela. He said that there is some bad feeling for this. But this time everyone will enjoy the fair, he said. However, Anil Babu hopes that Poushmela will become international again from next year.
